This is a really great article on being faithful even when it costs you.
Paul takes up the theme of the cross in his first letter to the church at Corinth: “For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18). Taking up the cross and following Jesus not only entails great cost, it is also viewed by the world as an utterly foolish thing to do.

I love Wired magazine. I love science and all things tech, and believe in the laws of nature.
I also believe God created Heaven and Earth and sent his Son to save us.
Why are these concepts mutually exclusive? Why can’t someone believe that God is the ultimate creator, and that science is the ultimate pursuit to understand the universe created by God?
This seems to be a uniquely American concept: Right-wing conservative Christians warring against defensive, equally stubborn scientists, and not an inch of shared ground.
When both sides of this argument realize that their beliefs are not threatened by the opposite position, we can move ahead, and not need articles like "Why Science Will Triumph Only When Theory Becomes Law."
